Where does it come from?

The ‘Boulougoura’ vineyard, 25 years old, located in Leontio, Corinth. At an altitude of 400 m, with a southwest orientation and clay-loam soil. One of the rarest indigenous varieties of the Peloponnese. In Nemea, the first plantings of this variety appeared far from its birthplace, Laconia, in the early 1990s.

Its color is medium lemon with green highlights. On the nose, a complex aromatic bouquet dominated by quince. Aromas of pear and citrus, with floral notes of chamomile and jasmine. Well-structured on the palate, with intense flavors of stone fruits and quince, a hint of creaminess balanced by acidity, and a long, ‘lemony’ finish.

Kidonitsa is a rare and distinctive white grape variety native to Laconia, in the southeastern Peloponnese. Though it was traditionally cultivated alongside other varieties, it wasn’t until the early 21st century that winemakers recognized its potential and began producing single-varietal wines.
