Moschato Spinas

The small-grape treasure of Crete, the Moschato Spinas surprises with its fine aroma and delicate taste. The Moscha-to Spinas is a rare native variety that has been showcased by the Domaine Paterianakis. It has a soft yellow colour with an intense varietal floral character of white flowers, soft and fresh rose petals, jasmine and violets.
Its elegant and harmonious mouthfeel, with dominant sweet notes of muscat, make it a pleasant and refreshing choice. This is a new and dynamic va-riety that one can truly fall in love with

The love of Muscat White for sunlight is common knowledge. It thrives when the sun warms up its small berries, bestowing on their thick skin a freckle-dotted yellow-gold color and uniquely concentrating the variety’s aromas and flavor. As a result, small-berried Muscat White yields dessert wines of international stature (“Muscat of Patras”;“Muscat of Rio Patras”; “Muscat of Rhodes”; “Samos” ; and “Muscat of Cephalonia”).

It was founded in 1988 by Giorgos Paterianakis, with a focus on the creation of a quality Cretan wine. The third generation of the Paterianakis family, Emmanuela and Niki, are continuing the wine tradition of organic farming, creating authentic Cretan wines with a strong personality.
