Where does it come from?

After the pressing of the grapes, the first alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel cooling tanks. The second fermentation is done in airtight stainless-steel tanks (Charmat method). Maturation with lees for 3 months for extra complexity.

The result? Brilliant gold yellow color. Aromas of citrus, citrus fruits, pear, apple and notes of white peach. Natural bubbling, acidity, freshness and fruity aftertaste.

The variety...

Debina, likely derived from the Italian “de vino,” meaning “grape of wine,” is a purely Greek white wine grape variety celebrated for its delicate and crisp character.

Originating from the picturesque region of Zitsa in Ioannina, Debina thrives on the hills and slopes of the six villages within the renowned Zitsa Wine Region. Cherished for its unique fruity, aristocratic, and elegant aromas of apple, pear, and peach, Debina captivates even the most discerning wine enthusiasts.

The winery...

Nestled in the historic region of Zitsa, Greece, Zoinos Winery stands as a testament to the innovation and dedication of local vintners.

The winery’s journey began in 1954, when a group of visionary grape growers established the first small winery in Zitsa. This initiative was further bolstered by the Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Ioannina, which, in 1974, founded the first modern winery in Northwestern Greece.
