“Do it like ancient Greeks” tasting is all about being served exactly how our ancestors did. This particular tasting offers a distinctive variation of red or white wine. If you are a red wine person, we offer one of the oldest grapes in the world, called Limnio. Although, if you are a white wine person, we offer the traditional Athenian grape called “Savvatiano”. The food that is served with one of the two choices of wine, is based in the ancient tradition, according to the books. The plate consists of Rusks, Greek olives, feta cheese, salted nuts, fruits/dried fruits, and vegetables.
Furthermore, the plates are decorated in ancient Greek style, while the wine will be served in ancient Greek cup-style (Pythagoras’s cup), instead of using normal wine glasses, and the wine will be served using a “Kratiras”. Kratiras is an ancient vase displaying ancient paintings, commonly representing one of the twelve gods of Olympus. Ancient Greeks used it to pour wine to the cups.

We provide one bottle of red or white wine of 750ml, with the locations of Greek wine regions, an informative video, and other related information. The wine is accompanied with a plate of greek products that ancient Greeks used to eat.
The plates, the cups, and the Kratiras are replicas, and also available for purchase. *
You can have access to more wine tastings, or wine served by the glass. You may order one of our many wine bottles, in-store before you leave or you could order all our available wines online which can be shipped worldwide.
