Vidiano Cinque Selection

Where does it come from?

Cold maceration is applied for 4 to 6 hours at 4°C. After pressing and clarification, fermentation is carried out in temperature controlled stainless steel vats at 13-16°C. Maturation in its fine lees by the method of Battonage.

White-yellow with light green edges. White peach, green apple, lime and quince aromas. Exuberant, with a metal character, fresh & dry fruit flavors, lime & lemon peel. Well balanced with persistent long aftertaste.

The variety...

The term “top obscure” could have been invented for Greek grape varieties like Vidiano. It is a white grape variety coming from Crete, used to produce white dry whites, sometimes aged in oak. Vidiano has been introduced to commercial production over the last decade. Producers agree on a tremendous quality potential, so essentially this is history in the making.

Discover the unique character of the grape by choosing one of Cinque’s wine tastings or enjoy it by the glass at wine bars in Athens.
